Sea-watch 09.00-10.30. Sunny spells with the very odd shower and a very light NW wind. |

A very quiet day, the only birds over the sea were 8 Red-throated Diver, 1 Gannet, and 2 Razorbill. |
| |
On the peninsula were a Water Rail, a Stonechat, a Goldcrest, 4 Linnet and 10 Yellowhammer, with 7 Whooper Swans at Long Bank. |
| |
The high tide put a fair bit of sand and debris on the road and the road to the Point maybe closed for a couple of days. |

| |
Sea-watch 08.15-10.30. Some sunny spells and odd rain showers, a force 3-1 WNW wind. |

21 Pink-footed Geese, 1 Teal, 21 Red-throated Diver, 3 Fulmar, 1 Gannet, 116 Herring Gull, a 2nd yr Glaucous Gull at
the Point, a Kittiwake S, 586 auk sp S, 4 Guillemot S, 17 Razorbill. |

Sea-watch 08.00-10.45. Another bright day clouding over later in the day, a force 2-3 SW wind. |

6 Pink-footed Geese, 37 Common Scoter, 215 Red-throated Diver (186 N, 29 S), 1 Great Crested Grebe S, 33 Cormorant blogging, 2 auk sp (1 N, 1 S). |
| |
Other birds included 3 Song Thrush, 1 Chiffchaff, 2 Linnet and 17 Yellowhammer. |

| |
Sunny spells clouding over in the afternoon, a force 2 SW wind. |

Over the sea were 4 Teal, 15 Common Scoter, 47 Red-throated Diver, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 7 Cormorant, 1 Shag, 2 Oystercatcher, 87 Golden Plover
and 1 Knot all in off, 4 Bar-tailed Godwit S, 65 Herring Gull, 35 Kittiwake. |

Other birds included another dead Short-eared Owl in the Triangle, 2 Skylark in off and a Stonechat at Southfield Farm. |

Sea-atch 07.55-11.00, 14.30-15.00. Bright and sunny clouding over late afternoon, a force 2-1 NW wind. |

Birds moving over the sea included 26 Pink-footed Geese, 1 Shelduck, 2 Mallard, 6 Eider, 96 Common Scoter, 8 Velvet Scoter
, 4 Goldeneye, 63 Red-throated Diver, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 1 blue phase Fulmar, 1 auk sp, 1 Razorbill. |

Other birds present were 1 Gadwall, 5 Teal, 2 Peregrines displaying over the Humber, 1 Woodcock in off the sea, 20 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Meadow
Pipit, 5 Song Thrush, 1 Mistle Thrush and 11 Yellowhammer. |

Bright and sunny with a force 2 NW wind. The day of the Mike Clegg Memorial Bird Race in Yorkshire and the Spurn team recorded 77 species along to
Welwick. |

Birds seen at Spurn included over the sea, 38 Pink-footed Geese N, 1 Greylag Goose S, 2 Wigeon, 5 Common Scoter, 35 Red-throated Diver, a
Red-necked Grebe N, 1 Razorbill N. |
| |
Other birds seen were 2 Little Grebe, 1 Jack Snipe, 1 Goldcrest, 1 Linnet, 2 Snow Bunting and 7 Yellowhammer. |

Sea-watch 08.30-10.45. Bright and sunny, clouding over later on, a force 4+ NW wind. |

All activity was over the sea: 2 Wigeon, 2 Teal, 1 Tufted Duck, 2 Scaup, 1 Common Scoter, 7 Goosander, 28 Red-throated Diver, 1 Gannet and 1 auk sp. |

Sea-watch 08.00-10.30. Heavy frost, bright and sunny all day with a force 2 W-NW wind. |

A good day over the sea included a Pomarine Skua N and a Little Auk S, other birds seen
over the sea included 5 Wigeon, 3 Teal, 4 Common Scoter, 1 Red-breasted Merganser, 20 Red-throated Diver, 5 Shag, 158 Herring Gull, 1 Kittiwake, 3
Guillemot. |

4 Teal in Triangle, a Jack Snipe on Clubley’s Scrape, a Fieldfare in Church Field and 2 Song Thrushes at the Point. |

Apart from a Mistle Thrush at the Warren all other birds seen were over the sea: 7 Teal, 36 Red-throated Diver, 1 Great
Northern Diver, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 3 Gannet, 408 Herring Gull, 1 Kittiwake, 1 Guillemot and 1 Razorbill. |

North of the area 43 Tundra Bean Geese and 4 Pink-footed Geese flew north over Sammy’s, a Short-eared Owl and a
Whooper Swan were at Long Bank. |

The weather conditions made for a bad day, the only birds seen were 8 Wigeon, 4 Teal, 5 Common Scoter, 1 Velvet Scoter,
10 Red-throated Diver, 1 Gannet and 6 Black-tailed Godwit. |

Sea-watch 08.00-10.30. Sunny spells but rain by late afternoon, a fresh force 4 W wind. |

A good start with 2 Waxwings in in the Crown car park, single Bonxie, Glaucous Gull and
Little Auk were also good birds to get so early in the year. Other birds over the sea included 22 Pink-footed Geese, 2
Wigeon, 2 Teal, 8 Pintail, 4 Common Scoter, 2 Goldeneye, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 54 Red-throated Diver, 2 Gannet, 1 Lesser B.B.Gull, 1 Kittiwake, 19 auk sp,
9 Guillemot, 3 Razorbill. |

North of the area there were still 2 Greenshank at Beacon Ponds and 45 Tundra Bean Geese were outside the area at
Skeffling, also 2 Waxwings in Easington. |
