19 Arctic Tern N plus 30 out, with the following going south 3 Swift, 1 Sand Martin, 35 Swallow, 2 House Martin, 7 Flava Wagtail, 1 Jackdaw, 36 Rook, 3 Carrion Crow,
16 Goldfinch and 2 Siskin. Whilst grounded birds included 3 Golden Plover, a Ruff (Clubley’s), 6 Whimbrel, a Yellow Wagtail (Church Field), a White Wagtail
(Point), 2 Black Redstart (Point), a Redstart (Warren), 1 Whinchat, 1 Stonechat, 7 Wheatear, 3 Ring Ouzel (1 Sheep Field, 2 Walker Butts), 2 Fieldfare, 2 Blackcap,
4 Chiffchaff, 3 Willow Warbler and a Siskin at Kew. |

A cold start to the day with the NE wind still dominant making it rather cool until it brightened up around midday, very new birds in and little
passage. |

a Med Gull S on the Humber, 2 Little Gull out, 23 Arctic Tern out, a Cuckoo (Church Field), 1 Swift 4 Sand Martin, 10 Swallow, 4 House Martin, 1 Tree Pipit,
1 Flava Wagtail all S, a White Wagtail (Point), 1 Black Redstart (Point), 4 Whinchat, a Stonechat (Warren), 20 Wheatear, 3 Ring Ouzel (Sheep Field, 2 Walker Butts),
a Fieldfare (Narrows), 3 Redwing (Church Field), the Grasshopper Warbler (Canal), 7 Blackcap, 6 Chiffchaff, 4 Willow Warbler, 2 Brambling and 2 Siskin (Kew). |

With north-easterlies set in making it rather cold, passage was limited along with new arrivals but a few birds noted at sea. |

15 Arctic Tern (6 N, 9 out), 14 Razorbill, 5 Sand Martin S, 7 Flava Wagtail S, 2 Black Redstart (Point/Narrows), a Redstart (Little Hedge), 2 Whinchat, a
Stonechat (Warren), 14 Wheatear, 2 Ring Ouzel (Canal Scrape), 1 Fieldfare, 1 Redwing (Crown), 12 Lesser Whitethroat, a Garden Warbler (Crown), 6 Blackcap,
6 Willow Warbler, 3 Chiffchaff and a Corn Bunting singing in Big Hedge. |

| |
Another coldish day especially first thing with full cloud cover and drizzle in a cold NE force 4, just the odd highlight in rather a dull day. |

The odd bird at sea with single Red-throated Diver, Fulmar, Manx Shearwater, 18 Gannet, 3 Common Tern N, 6 Arctic Tern (5 out, 1 N) and 12 Little Tern whilst
on land 3 Grey Lag Geese S, a sub-adult male Hen Harrier S at 10.40, 10 Whimbrel (5 out), a Common Sandpiper (New Scrape), 2 Swift, a Whinchat (Sheep Field), a
Stonechat (Triangle) possible of continental origin, 12 Wheatear, the Grasshopper Warbler still reeling at Rose Cottage, 7 Blackcap, 3 Chiffchaff, 7 Willow Warbler
and a Siskin at Kew were the best of it, the only other notable sighting was a Cuckoo at Pancho Pond. |

2 Yellow Wagtail (Triangle), 3 Redstart (Point/Warren/Crown), 3 Whinchat (Triangle), 10 Wheatear, 3 Ring Ouzel (1 Sheep Field, 2 Canal Scrape), single Fieldfare
and Redwing, 4 Blackcap, 11 Willow warbler, 4 Jackdaw, 19 Rook, 7 Carrion Crow, 3 House Sparrow, 18 Goldfinch and 38 Linnet S. |

Another pleasant day in hazy sunshine and a stiffening SW reaching force 4 by the afternoon, some more passage and a few new birds in so all in
all rather enjoyable. |

Heading south were 1 Gannet, 2 Gadwall, 2 Common Scoter, 2 Sparrowhawk, 3 Oystercatcher, 5 Dunlin, a Bar-tailed Godwit plus 12 Out, 5 Whimbrel,
32 Curlew went out along with 2 Arctic Skua, 171 Arctic Tern came out of the Humber the 1st of the year, 5 Swift, 18 Sand Martin, 73 Swallow, 15 House Martin,
18 Flava Wagtail, 3 Alba Wagtail, 1 Great Tit, 11 Rook, 2 House Sparrow, 8 Tree Sparrow, 2 Chaffinch, 49 Goldfinch, 409 Linnet, 2 Redpoll and 3 Yellowhammer. |

Grounded birds of note were a Goosander off the Lighthouse on the Humber, 3 Whimbrel, a Common Sandpiper (Canal), 4 Whinchat, 18 Wheatear, 2 Ring Ouzel
(Point/Walker Butts), 1 Fieldfare (Point), a Grasshopper Warbler, 6 Sedge Warbler, 20 Whitethroat, a Garden Warbler (Middle Hedge) 1st of the year, 5 Blackcap,
11 Willow Warbler, a male Pied Flycatcher (North Field) also 1st of the year.
The first record of Orange Tip was today with one at the Blue Bell whilst the only immigrant moth was a Dark Sword Grass but 7 species were the earliest recorded
being Pale Tussock, Flame Shoulder, Pebble Prominent, Buff Ermine, Sharp-angled Peacock, Dark-barred twin-spot Carpet and Ash Pug. |

Grounded birds included 108 Brent Geese plus a pale-bellied bird, a Pintail (Canal Scrape), 1 Snipe, a Common Sandpiper (New Scrape_ the 1st of the year,
4 Yellow Wagtail and a White Wagtail (New Scrape), 20 Wheatear, 1 Redwing (Point), 1 Grasshopper Warbler (Rose Cottage), 8 Lesser Whitethroat, 16 Whitethroat,
3 Blackcap, 4 Chiffchaff, 14 Willow Warbler and 10 Goldfinch. North of the area there were 20 Wheatear, a Ring Ouzel (Long Bank), a 2nd year Med Gull (Beacon Ponds)
and a Firecrest at Sammie’s.
A Silver Y is the 1st migrant moth to be trapped to light this year and is the earliest record by 1 day.

Another excellent days birding with more grounded birds and some good passage although light rain moved in by the middle of the afternoon. |

a distant Commic Tern, 58 Wood Pigeon, a Turtle Dove N the 1st of the year, 2 Swift, a Woodlark, 4 Sky Lark, 38 Sand Martin, 116 Swallow, 32 House Martin,
4 Meadow Pipit, 53 Flava Wagtail, 5 Alba Wagtail, 19 Rook, 5 Carrion Crow, 32 Starling, 3 Tree Sparrow, 6 Chaffinch, 6 Greenfinch, 197 Goldfinch, 431 Linnet,
4 Yellowhammer, 3 Reed Bunting and a Corn Bunting. |

| |
A good day all round with some passage, a couple of rarities and a scattering of new birds and plenty of enthusiasm in hazy sunshine but rather warm with a
light SW wind. |

On the move south were a Little Egret, 1 Shelduck, a Shovelor, a Marsh Harrier, a cracking adult male Montague’s Harrier at 12.15 after it circled a
few times over Sandy Beaches, 3 Sparrowhawk, 1 Kestrel, 80 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Whimbrel, 9 Sky Lark, 7 Sand Martin, 150 Swallow, 13 House Martin, 2 Meadow Pipit,
1 Alba Wagtail, 3 Rook, 32 Carrion Crow, 7 Starling, 90 Goldfinch, 190 Linnet and a RED-RUMPED SWALLOW at 09.35 but it eluded most of the birders as it must have cut
out over the Humber from the Warren, presumed the same bird that was reported from Gibraltar Point around one and half hours later. |

4 Meadow Pipit, 2 Alba Wagtail, 9 Rook, 7 Carrion Crow, 2 Chaffinch, a Greenfinch, 49 Goldfinch and 182 Linnet. |

15 Swallow (10 S), a Grey Wagtail N, 9 Wheatear, single Fieldfare and Redwing, 4 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Blackcap, 2 Chiffchaff, 6 Willow Warbler, 4 Jackdaw S, 7 Rook S, 2 Brambling and 32 Goldfinch S. |

More fog to start with but clearing by mid-morning becoming bright and sunny in light winds, rather a pleasant day with some passage, quite a few 1st for
the year and a few jobs carried out. |

On the move mainly south were 2 Marsh Harrier, 1 Kestrel, a Little Ringed Plover (1st of the year), 96 Curlew went out, 8 Wood Pigeon, 2 Collared Dove,
5 Sky Lark, 63 Sand Martin, 26 Swallow, 3 House Martin (1st of the year), a Flava Wagtail, 7 Magpie, 13 Rook, 7 Carrion Crow, 6 Tree Sparrow, 8 Greenfinch,
6 Goldfinch, 27 Linnet and 2 Ring-necked Parakeets went south but returned shortly back north. |

Elsewhere 2 Whimbrel (Tank Blocks, Middle Camp) were 1st of the year, 72 Turnstone, an Arctic Skua went out along with a Common Tern both 1st of the year,
a Rock Pipit (Warren), 2 Yellow Wagtail, 3 Wheatear, a Ring Ouzel (Sheep Field), 3 Fieldfare, 8 Redwing, a Lesser Whitethroat (Pallas’s Pond) 1st of the year,
4 Blackcap, 3 Chiffchaff, 20 Willow Warbler, a Brambling and Yellowhammer (Church Field).
On the butterfly front a lot were heading south with 50 + Peacocks and a Large White on the move, 2 Brimstone at the Warren and around 20 grounded Peacocks.

On the Move mainly south were 8 Barnacle Geese that came in before heading south, 7 Common Scoter, a Marsh Harrier, single Stock Dove and Sky Lark,
7 Sand Martin, 4 Swallow, 7 Meadow Pipit, 1 Alba Wagtail, 3 Blue Tit, 12 Jackdaw, 69 Rook, 21 Carrion Crow plus 1 came in, 5 Chaffinch, 13 Goldfinch, 42 Linnet and a
Yellowhammer. |

Other interesting sightings were the 2nd year Iceland and Glaucous Gulls blogging, 1 Sand Martin, a Ring Ouzel (Walker Butts), 2 Fieldfare, 10 Redwing,
2 Blackcap (Warren, Kew), 3 Chiffchaff, 6 Goldcrest. Very late news for the 7th was a Ring Ouzel at the Lighthouse the 1st of the year. The only butterfly of note
today was a Brimstone at Kew also the 1st of the year. |

Bright and sunny all day with an increasing westerly that curtailed any passage by mid-morning, very few new grounded birds found. |

On the move mostly south were 6 Brent Geese, 5 Grey-lag Geese, a Common Buzzard that came in and then went south, 298 Black-headed Gull, 37 Wood Pigeon plus
13 came in, 13 Sand Martin, 8 Swallow, 2 Meadow Pipit plus 29 NW, a Grey Wagtail N, 4 Alba Wagtail, 3 Blue Tit, a Great Tit came in, 10 Jackdaw, 20 Rook, 23 Carrion
Crow plus 1 in, 22 Chaffinch, 8 Greenfinch, 26 Goldfinch and 7 Linnet. |

Other birds of note were single Merlin and Peregrine, a Water Rail (Triangle), yesterdays Green Sandpiper (Triangle), the Glaucous Gull blogging around,
2 Fieldfare, 15 Redwing (10 Point), a Blackcap (Warren), 4 Chiffchaff, 8 Goldcrest and a Yellowhammer at Kew. North of the area a ring-tailed Hen Harrier was north
of Beacon Lagoons and the 2nd year Iceland Gull was north of the Gas site. |

plus 16 out, 1 Stock Dove, 53 Wood Pigeon, 1 Sand Martin, 2 Swallow (1st of the year), 1 Skylark, 17 Meadow Pipit NW, 17 Rook, 9 Carrion Crow, 6 Tree Sparrow, 4
Chaffinch, 11 Goldfinch, 16 Linnet, 2 Yellowhammer and 2 Corn Bunting. |

The Welwick- Kilnsea charity bike ride was today with a large number of participants taking part including some of the local birders, hoping to raise money for a
local cancer charity, the day was enjoyed by all.

A cloudy cold start with a nagging NE wind that decreased to almost nothing by the afternoon with clearing skies and plenty of sunshine in the afternoon
making it rather pleasant with just the odd bird of interest. |

Highlights today were a pale-bellied Brent Goose on the Humber, along with 35 Wigeon, 15 Teal, and a Shovelor, 2 Pochard came in, a Marsh Harrier S,
4 Sparrowhawk, 2 Peregrine over the Humber, 23 Oystercatcher and 74 Curlew went out, a Woodcock N at the Warren, 52 Turnstone, a Bonxie harassing the large number
of Herring Gulls, 236 Black-headed Gull out and 38 S, the Glaucous Gull (Lighthouse), 2 Rock Pipit (Warren), a Grey Wagtail S, 8 Alba Wagtail S, 18 Redwing,
13 Goldcrest, 2 Long-tailed Tit (Point), 3 Tree Sparrow S, 7 Greenfinch S, 11 Goldfinch S, 9 Linnet S, 2 Yellowhammer S and 1 at the Warren. |

Another quiet day in a stiff cold northerly wind, very few new arrivals to be seen. |

At sea 6 Gannet N, 6 Common Scoter (5 S), an adult Med Gull S, 2 LBB Gull N, around 700 Herring Gull all over the place the Glaucous Gull at the Point
and a Kittiwake out were the best bits. |

Whilst on land a Grey Heron (Triangle), a Eider (Humber), 1 Peregrine, a Jack Snipe (Salt Marsh), 4 Snipe, a Woodcock (Sheep Field), 23 Redwing,

Iceland Gull (Blue Bell area), a 2nd year Glaucous Gull feeding of the Point, 3 Meadow Pipit S plus 7 NW, a Rock Pipit (Salt Marsh), a White Wagtail (Church Field),
single Black Redstart, Wheatear and Fieldfare (Point), 14 Redwing, 11 Goldcrest, the 2 Long-tailed Tit (Point), a Redpoll S and the Common Redpoll (Crown) whilst in
Kilnsea another Black Redstart was at West Mere Farm. |
