Spurn Bird Observatory

Yorkshire Wildlife - an illustrated talk by Martin Standley

12 October 2017

If you are visiting Spurn this weekend please help support our partners the South Holderness Countryside society by attending this event.

Yorkshire Wildlife – an illustrated talk by Martin Standley. Patrington Church Hall, Friday 13 October, 7.30pm. Free entry. Refreshments available.

Access the venue via the footpath adjacent to the Holderness Inn on High Street, almost opposite the church car park.

The South Holderness Countryside Society owns part of the land which comprises Kilnsea Wetlands. The SHCS is a stakeholder, along with major conservation bodies, including Spurn Bird Observatory, in this important and now popular reserve. See SHCS website for more information. The SHCS is currently actively involved in the planning of exciting proposals for the future development of the reserve which will give visitors an even better experience. A particularly important partnership is the management, by SBO, of the Little Tern colony on land owned by SHCS at Beacon Lagoons.

You will have seen many of Martin’s wonderful photos on small screens and in print but in order to really appreciate their quality don’t miss this opportunity to see them as they should be seen – on a large screen.

If you know somebody who may be interested please forward these details.

If you are visiting Spurn for the weekend why not start with this event to whet your appetite!
